Howell Creative Group Marks 20th Year of Donations

The team at Howell Creative Group is sending out dozens of cuddly owls to brighten the holidays for disadvantaged area children. The owls will find loving homes with the help of Salvation Army Santas. “Delivering stuffed toys during the holiday season is a company tradition that is now in its 20th year,” said Howell Creative Group President and Creative Director Kathy Howell. “This year a whole flock of cute, cushy owls will become new best friends for many children in our community.”

Virginia Chamber of Commerce "Blueprint Virginia"

Kathy attended the "Blueprint Virginia" kick-off session designed to reveal study findings and future planning tools for business health in our state.  In one of his first public appearances since the election, Governor-elect Terry McAuliffe praised the work as an excellent tool to move Virginia forward.

VersAbility - Annual Meeting

Showing our support for our client, VersAbilty Resources, Kathy and Kelsey were most pleased to attend their Annual Meeting.  Howell Creative Group created the name VersAbility Resources as well as rebranded their company and much more.  Kelsey is seen here with Sarah Bowman, Director of Marketing/Development and Lisa, the employee-spokesperson who appeared in our TV spots.  Let us know if you've seen Lisa on your favorite television channels!  

United Way Women's Quest

Our firm sponsored the United Way CHX4CHNG Wellness Symposium by providing full brand development including logo image, exhibit signage and more.  As a representative of the leadership team, Kathy had a great day with our guests Virginia Living Museum Executive Director, Page Hayhurst and Business Coach, Shelley Smith at this successful event focused on women’s health.

Celebrating Oktoberfest with the Alliance

Team-building at it’s finest!  The Howell Team had a blast at the Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance’s annual event at Busch Gardens.  We picked up a couple of furry new friends along the way. 

Newport News State of the City

Howell Creative Group is thrilled to be the Agency of Record for the Newport News Department of Economic Development.  Kathy, Tiffany and Kelsey were very happy to be a part of this event where Mayor Price highlighted success stories and future goals for the City.  It was great to meet with our client, Robin Boyd, Marketing Coordinator, Economic Development.

Howell Creative Group Honored for “CASABlanca” Marketing

Howell Creative Group has received a Graphic Design USA award for the 1930s-inspired brand and marketing materials they developed for “CASAblanca,” Colonial CASA’s annual fundraiser. Marketing materials included the event logo, collateral, print and online ads and a custom web page. “Event proceeds benefit Colonial CASA’s advocacy services for abused and neglected children,” said Kathy Howell, president and creative director of the marketing communications firm. “We’re proud to be recognized for our work on behalf of a unique event that furthers the organization’s wonderful mission.”

Mason School of Business Leadership Event

We were thrilled to be the marketing communications support team for the McGlothlin Leadership Forum again this fall. Internationally acclaimed speakers shared their insights with students, faculty and members of the business community. (It's amazing what we learn from our clients.) Christy gives perspective on the size of one of the lobby graphics. 

Kelsey Biro Sanders Wedding Festivities

Kelsey and Buddy tied the knot this fall in Asheville, her home town. Kathy, Tiffany and hubbies joined the Williamsburg contingent in the excitement. The wedding was gorgeous - and so is Kelsey!

Our awesome intern, Josh, came to visit and work with us a few days last week. Here's our Joshy-boy at the head of the table toasting with us before he went back to school in August. Enjoying our spot at The Corner Pocket.

VersAbility Kick-off Event at the Virginia Living Museum

Tiffany and Kathy celebrated the re-brand launch party for our client VersAbility Resources at one of our favorite places - the Virginia Living Museum. The exhibit display featuring the brand image turned out great and we loved seeing the marketing director, Sarah Bowman beaming with pride. 

Tribe Football Armed Forces Day

The Howell team hosted members of military families at William & Mary Football Armed Forces day. Kathy and Marie had a blast at the game with Joe Chwalik, USAF active duty plus Zachary and Austin Yates who's dad is serving in Afghanistan.

Joe had recently won a Tuskegee award and we were all honored to meet the last remaining Tuskegee Airman from Virginia at the event.
